We had a couple of groups of hunters out at the Ranchito this week.

The first group was able to harvest a couple of does and a management 10 pt.

The second group harvested a 9 pt cull and a doe.

Deer activity is started to pick up while this group was here as one of the hunters pasted on a nice mature 8 pt. The younger bucks are starting to chase and the mature bigger bucks have been seen cruising the areas in search of hot does. The next couple of weeks should be great with the Rut nearing.

Season has come to a close and we had a  succesful season.  Harvest datas were down just a bit, survival rate was down due to the drought, we won't see the extent of the impact for 5 years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my repeat clients as well as my new clients.   We are  now booking hog hunts, archery only.  We have set up  lights for our hog hunters, courtesy of Rob Pecht, visit  his site at www.SniperHawgLights.com., the bes bow and gun mounted lights on the market.   Our hog numbers are up as well as our javelina.  Predator hunting is also available.  We have a great number of coyotes and bobcats.
